When Rod Ferrell was 16, (or 500 as he tells it. You see, he's a vampire) he took a little road trip to Florida with some friends and went to visit his ex girlfriend. He ended up brutally murdering the ex-girlfriend's parents. The teens then decided to go to New Orleans because that's where all vampires go, but only made it as far as Baton Rouge before being arrested for the murders and extradited back to Florida.
Ferrell was initially on Death Row, but his sentence was commuted to life. This drawing was done by Rod in 1985 when he was just 5 years old. It’s huge, 18x12 done on yellow paper and signed “RODDY” at the top in light purple. It’s of snails/shells, the corners are a bit bent as this piece is 30 years old, but it is still in great condition. There are small pieces of tape on each corner, and it has been folded down the middle. It comes with a handwritten COA from Rod’s mother, Sondra “Star” Gibson. Extremely rare and perhaps one of the earliest pieces out there!
